Brenton Brown, a year-old mixed-race youth, has lived in a children’s home all his life and is haunted by the absence of his mother. The story itself was multi-layered and fascinating and though I wasn’t alive in 80s Britain I’m sure this book gives an accurate portrayal of it, mostly because the book’s world feels genuinely like something that is inhabited rather than just described.

He now visits schools, colleges, universities, aoex and prisons facilitating creative writing classes and performing inspiring speeches. rockk

As I entered the library, I picked up the first book I clasped my eyes on as I had an hour before nrixton booked appointment to ‘past the time’ I began reading, the first few pages really gripped my attention and I found myself engrossed with the aspects of the story ales events within a harsh environment a reality frame work of identity behind the closed walls of prison life.
